Ryu's Artificial Intelligence Completed!

This is the current state-of-art of the Kokusai Fighting Engine, showing the artificial intelligence of the engine. After a lot of works, now the artificial intelligence of Ryu's template seems to work correctly. Now it's time to reorganize the code and make some optimizations. Stay tuned guys!

Melody Is Coming!

Hi guys! Sorry for the absence, but I'm working hard on engine development, to complete the AI for Ryu's template as soon as possibile. Today I'm very proud to introduce you the second game, currently in development, based on the Kokusai Fighting Engine: Melody. Came to Work!

After a long weekend at the East and Martial Arts Festival where I participated as a referee, I came back to work on the engine. The AI calibration in the Ryu's template requires a lot of work, but I want to get the best result as possible. Stay tuned.

Added AI for Ryu's Template

This weekend I finished to added the AI (Artificial Intelligence) to Ryu's template. The AI is not perfect actually, some calibrations are required, but as first result it's not too bad. I want to make the required calibrations as soon as possible to find possible problems and to complete a valid template for every type of character.

Final Bout Is Coming!

Blog Layout Changed

I've passed some days to simplify the layout of the blog, deleting some redundant elements. I restyled the Screenshots and Videos pages, to be more compact and readable, moreover I've added the Link Me page, to give the user the chance to add in their sites or blogs a button to my blog.

Added Follow Me on Twitter Button

Because I already have a Twitter account, it's a good idea if my visitors can follow me. Moreover I added the Twittercounter button, to show in real time how many followers I have.

Screenshots Page Updated

I've updated the Screenshots page using the new features of Mediabox Advanced. Now the screenshots are arranged to a table, which uses less space, and every thumbnail can open a preview simply clicking on it. Enjoy!

Blog Updated

Some minor updates to the blog this time. I removed the Whos.Amug.Us widget and installed the Revolver Maps widget, which you can see at the bottom of the homepage. Now the layout is much more simpler, and this widget is more advanced. At this time the blog is subscribed to about 24 blog directories, and for now it's enought. Moreover I added a simple gadget with blog's description, to give more impact to visitors.

I continue to subscribe my blog to various directories and search engines to increase its visibility. Thanks to Wikio, which has accepted and reviewed my blog, for this reason I added its vote button below every post. Thank you to Networked Blogs too, now I can show my followers on Facebook. I removed the Flag Counter widget and added the Whos.Amug.Us widget to show currently online visitors, now the blog's layout is more simple and clear.

This week I fixed some functionalities of the Ryu template, and updated the blog. As you can see the Blog Statistics has a new nice widget powered by Flag Counter. Moreover finally I have my first two followers, thank you to Blogged for this. Yesterday I started to develop to round mechanism of the engine. Stay tuned.

New screenshots of the current state of development of the engine. In these days I've completed the first version of the engine's HUD, now I have to complete most of the features of Ryu's template. Then I can start to develop a great part of the engine: the state machine for manage the mechanism of the rounds.

Technorati Registration

New Engine Features and Videos

Hallo everybody. After some relaxing vacation I came back to work, and I developed some new interesting features:
  • A first version of the engine's HUD, with lifebars and a clock.
  • Projectiles with multiple hits and other minor improvements.
  • Throws and special attacks, implemeted in Ryu's template.
Actually I'm working on Ryu's template to complete all necessary features without AI. Stay tuned, more news coming soon.
This is the current state-of-art of the Kokusai Fighting Engine, showing how to perform attacks with projectiles. Now the engine supports projectiles with multiple hits.

Ryu Template Updated: New Screenshots and Videos

As you can see, the blog is changing. I've modified the layout, to give more space, and optimize all services (feeds and sharing tools). I've added all basic moves to Ryu's template (attacks, blocks, and movements) and two special attacks. Obviously Ryu's character is copyrighted by CAPCOM, but this template is absolutely general, so I can create every type of character I want. The combos detection tool of the engine works well (do you remeber the classic down, down-forward, forward, punch to perform the classic fireball?). A new video and some screenshots are available. Stay tuned, I'm working hard to complete the template as soon as possible.

Ryu Template Updated

Hard work this weekend. I've added all normal attacks and block moves to Ryu template. A little work too about some calibration on the character's parameters and I can start to code the AI. Stay tuned!

80% of Animations Completed

I've completed about 80% of the animations necessary for the Ryu template. Now I must create all finite states, so the character will be perfectly usable for a human player. Then with these states I will able to create the artificial intelligence.

Came to Work!

After a relaxing weekend, I came back to work. Working with GIMP, about the 80% of the frames necessary to complete the Ryu character's template are now ready. Today I must complete all animations.
